Sidebar Navigation
The sidebar on the various main pages is your primary navigation tool within Kadal Content Manager, offering quick access to essential features.
The available options in the sidebar depend on your permissions. You may not see certain options based on your access level. For any questions regarding access, please reach out to your admin.
New Button
The New button allows users to create new documents, folders, or upload files directly into the system. This feature is crucial for organizing your work and ensuring easy access to new resources.
Home Button
Clicking the Home button takes users to the home page, which serves as the landing page for Kadal Content Manager. Here, you can view recent resources and folders you’ve accessed, making it easy to pick up where you left off.
Starred Page
The Starred page displays all the resources or folders that you have starred. This feature helps users quickly find important documents and folders they frequently use.
My Folder
Under the My Folder section, users can create new documents, folders, or upload files. This area is designed for personal organization, allowing you to manage your content effectively.
Repository
Similar to My Folder, the Repository section enables users to create new documents, folders, or upload files. This section is typically used for shared resources and collaboration within teams.
Metadata Governance
The Metadata Governance feature allows users to manage all metadata associated with documents and resources. Accurate metadata is crucial for maintaining organization and searchability across the platform.
User Profile Menu
Clicking on your username opens the User Profile Menu, where you can access several important options:
- My Profile: View and edit your profile information.
- Help Center: Navigate to the Help Center for resources and guides.
- Report Issue: Log tickets for support directly from the menu.
- About Kadal: Access information about Kadal, including the current version.
- Logout: Log out of the application when you are finished.
Note: In the User Profile Menu, the My Profile and About Kadal options are coming soon and are currently disabled.
Search Functionality
On the pages of Kadal Content Manager—namely Home, Starred, My Folder, and Repository—users can utilize the search function. This feature allows you to quickly find specific documents or folders based on keywords, enhancing your efficiency in locating resources.
