How to Upload Resources to Kadal Content Manager?
Kadal Content Manager allows you to upload a variety of file types (documents, images, audio, and more) for efficient content management. Uploading can be done either in My Folder for personal use or in the Repository for shared collaboration.
- Navigate to the folder where you want to upload your file (either My Folder or Repository).
- Click the + New button on the sidebar.
- From the dropdown menu, select Upload.
- A file explorer window will open. Select the files or folders you want to upload from your device.
- Select the files and click Open.
- On the Upload modal, confirm the files and the upload location.
- If needed, change the Current Location before starting the upload process.
Note: You can only upload files to folders that you have permission to access. If you don’t have permission, those folders will be disabled.
- Click Upload, and the files will begin uploading.
- Monitor the upload progress bar to ensure all files are successfully uploaded.
- After upload, Kadal processes the resources for content ingestion. You'll see a "File processing in progress" indication on the bottom left of the resource card.
- Once processing is complete, the indicator will disappear.
- If processing fails, a “Processing Failed” indication will be displayed. You will need to re-upload the resource.
Note: Content ingestion allows Kadal to understand, index, and analyze uploaded files so that AI can search, summarize, respond, recommend, and automate tasks based on file content.
Best Practice: Monitor the upload progress and check the processing status to ensure your files are successfully added and ready for use
