Create a New Discussion

How to Create a New Discussion in Kadal Content Manager?

This article helps you set up a new discussion forum in Kadal. Discussions encourage collaboration, reflection, and sharing of ideas within teams or courses. You can prompt responses with structured questions or open-ended topics.

Steps:

1. Navigate to the Target Folder
   • Go to My Folder or Repository where you want the discussion to be stored.
2. Click the + New Button
   • In the left sidebar, click + New.
3. Select Discussion
   • From the dropdown, choose Discussion to start with a blank canvas.
4. New Discussion Opens in Editor
   • A new tab opens with the default name Untitled Discussion.
5. Rename the Discussion
   • Click on the discussion title and type your preferred name.
6. Add Content
   • Use the editor to:
     • Format text
     • Insert images or tables
     • Embed multimedia elements

Tip: Use the AI Buddy for writing suggestions or content generation.

7. Manage Discussion Location
   • Once the discussion is saved, a Move icon appears next to the title. Use it to:
     • View the discussion’s current location
     • Move it to another folder as needed
