Kadal allows users to import documents directly from their Google Drive into the Repository. This is especially useful for users with multiple files stored in Google Drive that they want to centralize within Kadal.
- Access the Import Option
- Navigate to the Knowledge Base folder where you want to import files.
- Click the “+” icon on the top right.
- Select “Import Google Drive” from the dropdown.
- Connect Your Google Account (First-time Users Only)
- You’ll be prompted to log in to your Google account.
- Accept the requested permissions and agree to the Terms and Conditions to proceed.
- Browse and Select Files
- A Google Drive picker will appear, allowing you to browse your files and folders.
- Hold the Ctrl key (or ⌘ on Mac) to select multiple files and folders (Folder can be imported only by users with approved email domains).
- Click “Select” to proceed.
- Confirm Import
- A confirmation pop-up will display:
- Current Location: The destination folder in Kadal, where your files will be stored.
- Selected Files: The number of files and folders selected.
- Click “Import” to start the process.
- A confirmation pop-up will display:
- Receive Confirmation and Processing
- A success message will confirm that the files were imported.
- Additionally, an email confirmation will be sent to notify you.
- The imported files will be reprocessed for ingestion and made available within the selected Knowledge Base folder.
