Saving a Discussion as a Template

How to Save a Discussion as a Template in Kadal Content Manager

This article guides you on how to save a discussion as a template in Kadal. Saving discussions as templates helps maintain a consistent structure and tone in future discussion forums.

Steps:

1. Open the Discussion
   • Navigate to the discussion you want to save as a template. Click to open it in the editor.
2. Access the More Menu
   • At the top of the editor, next to the discussion title, click on the More (⋮) menu.
3. Choose 'Save as Template'
   • From the dropdown, click on Save as Template.
4. Template Is Saved
   • A copy of the discussion will be saved as a new template and added to the Discussion Template Gallery under Building Blocks.

Note: Future edits to the original discussion will not affect the template.

5. Manage Your Template
   • Navigate to the Building Blocks and under the Discussion Template Gallery, you can perform the following actions:
     • Preview
     • Edit
     • Delete
6. Use the Template in a Discussion
   While creating or editing a discussion, you can now insert this template directly to maintain consistent formatting and structure.
