We are excited to announce an upgrade to the Content Manager, packed with new features and improvements designed to enhance the user experience.
Key Features
AI Buddy
Access Agents Directly
- CMS users will now be able to call the list of published agents by typing ‘@’ in the AI Buddy chat space.
- Users can search and select the needed agent from the list to have their queries responded to by the selected agent, instead of the default orchestrator.
- If no agent is selected, the default orchestrator will be used to answer.
Upload Files on Chat as Input to the Agents
- Enables users to upload documents directly in chat, allowing agents to process and provide responses effectively (pdf, docx, txt, csv, and xlsx – size limited to 5 MB).
- Uploaded documents can be responded to by any specific agent or by the orchestrator itself, based on the user's choice.
Set the Document Reference to AI Buddy by Default
- Users can immediately begin interacting with the AI Buddy after creating a document, allowing the agents to automatically consider the referenced document as the context.
- Eliminates the need for users to manually set the context by providing baseline information about the document to the agent.
Content Ingestion
Ingest Homepage and Syllabus from the Imported Canvas Course
- The Homepage and Syllabus present in the Canvas course will now be seamlessly identified, ingested/processed as Documents in the CMS, and will henceforth be enabled to carry out usual activities with them.
- Assets present on the Homepage and Syllabus will be imported, processed, and enabled for search (basic and search within content).
Ingest Quiz, Assignment, and Discussion from the Imported Canvas Course
- Enable seamless ingestion of quizzes, assignments, and discussions from Canvas courses into Kadal Content Manager.
- Assets present on the Homepage and Syllabus will be imported and processed separately.
Repository Changes
Move Objects
- Simplified content reorganization by enabling a move functionality for objects across folders within the Repository.
- This feature will also allow users to seamlessly relocate assets from "My Folder" to any designated location within the Repository and make them public.
Display the Upload or Creation Location Upfront for Assets
- The folder or repository path where assets are being uploaded will be displayed upfront to improve navigation and clarity.
- This enhancement has been implemented to ensure that users are always aware of the location where they’re uploading assets and can potentially change the location on the fly before initiating the process.
Auto-Generation Services
Generate Alt Text for Images on Upload and Replace
- Leverage AI to generate accessible Alt text for images during upload or replacement through the interface or as part of a Canvas import.
- Images, along with their associated Alt text, will be processed and ingested using AI technology to facilitate search functionality (basic and search within content).
Generate Description for Images on Upload and Replace
- Leverage AI to generate descriptions for images during upload or replacement through the interface or as part of a Canvas import.
- Images, along with their associated descriptions, will be processed and ingested using AI technology to facilitate search functionality (basic and search within content).
Generate Audio Description for Audios on Upload and Replace
- AI service has been utilized to generate audio description (CC) files (VTT) for audio during upload or replacement through the interface or during upload as part of a Canvas import.
- Audios, along with their associated descriptions (CC), will be processed using AI technology to facilitate search functionality (basic and search within content).
Generate Closed Captions for Videos on Import from Canvas
- AI will be utilized to generate closed captions of videos while a course is imported from Canvas.
- Audios, along with their associated descriptions (CC), will be processed using AI technology to facilitate search functionality (basic and search within content).
Note: All auto-generation features are subscription-based services and will be turned on to tenants only on a demand/need basis.
Other Enhancements
Enable Metadata Association for Assets in 'My Folder'
- Associate metadata for assets stored in 'My Folder' to improve searchability and categorization.
Automatically Activate Metadata if Created During Object Association
- This allows users to seamlessly associate the newly created metadata with the object immediately after creation without needing to activate it separately.
