Key Features
Tools for AI Conversations
Note: These settings are not enabled by default. If you’d like them enabled for your tenant, please contact kadalsupport@learningmate.com.
New tools such as Web Search and Search within Kadal are now available for AI conversations in both Agents and Threads.
- When Web Search is ON, the latest content from the web is referenced to respond to queries.
- When Search within Kadal is ON, the attached knowledge base or full repository is referenced for responses.
- The Master Prompt remains the first priority for instructions. For example, the LLM’s own knowledge will still be used unless explicitly overridden in the Master Prompt.
LLM Models Deprecated

UI Indicators for Deprecated Models
If an Agent or Thread used a now-deprecated model, a UI indicator will appear.
- Hovering over the indicator will show a message with the deprecation details and fallback model.
- Note: The fallback model is not automatically applied in the UI. Users must review and update the model manually based on their understanding.
- However, all conversations will continue using the fallback model to ensure continuity.
Import via Google Drive (Beta)
- The Google Drive connector is now available to import files and folders directly into the Kadal Repository.
- This is a Beta feature and is currently available only for LearningMate and Straive domains.
Export to Word and PDF with Math Support
- Kadal now supports exporting math equations in both Word and PDF formats:
- In Word, MathML is exported as an editable format, while LaTeX equations are exported as images.
- In PDF, both MathML and LaTeX are exported as images.
- During export, the selected option (Word or PDF) will be temporarily disabled to prevent multiple clicks. It will re-enable once the process completes.
Enhanced Global Search – Prioritizing Current Folder
Search functionality now dynamically adapts to your folder location:
- If you're inside a specific folder, the search will prioritize results from that folder.
- You can clear this filter to search across the full repository.
- For global locations like Home, Repository, Starred, or My Folder, existing behavior remains unchanged.
Right-to-Left Rendering Support for Arabic (Pashto/Dari)
- AI responses in Arabic are now rendered in right-to-left format.
- Equations within responses retain their formatting.
- Copying to the Editor preserves the layout and direction.
Math Rendering in AI Buddy
- Equations are now accurately rendered in AI Buddy responses.
- Copying responses to the Editor retains math formatting.
Optimizations
- Section titles and related content are now grouped into a single chunk, ensuring accurate metadata and better results. Previously, these were split, causing retrieval issues.
- .doc and .ppt files are now supported in Content Ingestion.
- Semantic search has been enhanced to work within folder structures.
- Summarization and streaming logic have been improved for faster and more coherent responses.
