How to Attach Files in an AI Chat
Attaching files in AI Chat allows you to provide additional context, leading to more accurate and relevant responses from Kadal. This guide explains how to do it in both Threads and Agents.
- Accessing Chat

- Navigate to the Threads page. Select or start a thread to begin interacting with Kadal.
- Using an Agent
- Navigate to the Agents page. Select the agent you want to interact with.

- Attaching a File
- Click the Attach icon in the AI input bar.
- Upload from Computer: Users can upload a maximum of 5 files per prompt, each file up to a maximum size of 5 MB, in these formats: CSV, DOCX, XLSX, PDF,TXT, MD, JPEG, JPG, PNG, BMP, or GIF.
- Import from Repository: Select up to 5 files per prompt from the repository; there is no file size limitation.
Note: For import from the repository, the files with the status of ‘Processing’ or ‘Failed’ will be disabled for selection. Only ‘Processed’ files can be attached from the repository.
- File Processing
- If an agent’s files are still processing, their responses may not be accurate. In this case, a processing indication will be shown in the chat box. Once processing is complete, the agent will provide accurate responses.
- Submitting a Query
- After attaching a file, enter your prompt and click Submit.
- Reviewing Response
- Review the AI Chats response and copy it if needed.
- Like or dislike the response to provide feedback.
