Kadal’s AI Tools feature allows you to enhance responses by enabling Web Search, which lets the AI fetch real-time information from the internet. This feature is configurable via the Tools menu and is available in Threads and Agents.
Note: These features must be enabled by your tenant admin. If disabled, the options won’t appear in your interface. Users who need access should contact Kadal Support for assistance.
- Accessing Chat
- Using Threads
- Navigate to the Threads page. Select or start a thread to begin interacting with Kadal.

- Navigate to the Agents page. Select the agent you want to interact with.

- Open the Tools Menu
- At the bottom-right of the input bar, click the horizontal ellipsis (⋯) icon.
- This opens the Tools panel, where you can enable or disable Web Search.
- Tool: Web Search
- When turned on, the AI can fetch information from the internet in real time to enhance responses. Web Search supplements your prompt with live web content. Responses that reference the web will include a source label or reference note.
- When turned off, AI only uses uploaded files and Knowledge Base
- Submit Your Prompt
- After setting your desired tools, type your query and press Enter or click Submit.
- The AI will generate a response based on the enabled tool(s).
- Reviewing Response
- Review the AI Buddy's response and copy it if needed.
- Like or dislike the response to provide feedback.
