How to Create an Agent?
Kadal allows users with valid permissions to create agents that assist with specific tasks based on provided instructions and reference materials. Agents can be used directly within documents to enhance productivity.
-
Open Your Document
- Open the document where you want to use AI Buddy. The AI tab will appear on the right panel.
-
Create a New Agent
- Type @ in the AI input bar.
- Click + New Agent from the list.
- A Create Agent form will appear.
-
Fill in the Create Agent Form
- Agent Name: Provide a unique and descriptive name.
- Description: Write a brief overview of the agent’s role.
- Master Prompt: Specify instructions that guide the agent’s responses.
-
Agent Source: Attach reference material for the agent’s knowledge base.
- Content: Click + Add to attach content from the repository, My Folder, or shared files.
- Guidelines: Click + Add to upload multiple guideline files (Max: 5 MB, formats: .DOCX, .PDF, .TXT).
- Templates: Click + Add to upload multiple template files (Max: 2 MB, formats: .DOCX, .PDF, .TXT).
Note: After uploading the files, Kadal processes them for content ingestion. You'll see a status indicator next to the file in the Create Agent Form, such as “In Progress” or “Failed”. If the status shows Failed, kindly re-upload the file. Only once the processing is complete, the agent can provide accurate responses using the files.
-
Configure Advanced Settings
- Model: Choose from available AI models (e.g., GPT, Gemini, Claude).
- Response Type: Adjust randomness (lower values increase accuracy, higher values add variation).
- Max Tokens: Define the maximum output length (1 token ≈ 4 characters).
Note: Kadal supports multiple AI models for Agent creation, some are default, while others can be configured upon request.
-
Save the Agent
- Click Save to create the agent.
-
Manage Agents
- Once created, the agent will appear in the @ list.
- Clicking the vertical ellipsis (⋮) next to an agent provides options to:
- Configure: Modify agent details (same fields as the Create Agent form).
- Delete: Remove the agent permanently.
Note: If an agent’s files are still processing, its responses may not be accurate. In this case, a processing indication will be shown in the chat box. Once processing is complete, the agent will provide accurate responses.
