This article walks you through how Kadal Content Manager enhances accessibility by automatically generating alt text and descriptions when you upload or replace images. Alt text improves screen reader access and SEO, making your content more inclusive and discoverable.

 

Steps to Upload an Image to Auto-Generated Alt Text:

1. Log in to Kadal Content Manager.

2. In the sidebar, click the + New button.

3. From the dropdown menu, select Upload.

4. Use the file explorer to choose the image you want to upload. Kadal Content Managersupports popular image formats like .jpg, .png, and .gif.

5. Before clicking Upload, confirm the folder location displayed on screen is where you want the image to be stored. You can change the destination if needed.

6. Click Upload to start the process. A progress bar will indicate upload status.

7. Once uploaded, click the image to view its details.

8. In the image details panel, you'll see that Kadal Content Manager has automatically generated alt text and a description based on the image content.

Replacing an Existing Image:

1. Open the image details for the file you want to update.

2. Click the Replace button.

3. Choose a new image from your device and click Open.

4. Once the new image is uploaded, Kadal Content Manager will automatically regenerate the alt text and description to match the new content.
