How to Import a Course from Canvas in Kadal
Kadal’s Canvas Integration feature allows users to seamlessly import course materials directly from Canvas into the Knowledge Base. This eliminates the need for manual uploads and ensures that relevant course content is readily available for AI agents. To import a course from Canvas, a preconfigured Connector is required. Ensure that the necessary integration is set up before proceeding with the import.
Steps:

Access the Import Option

- Navigate to the Knowledge Base where you want to store the imported files.
- Locate the "+" icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
- Click the "+" icon to open the dropdown menu.

Select "Import Course"

- From the dropdown options, click "Import Course."
- A pop-up window will appear with available integration options.

Choose the Canvas Connector

- Select "Canvas Connector" from the list of available sources.
- If this is your first time using the integration, you may be prompted to authenticate your Canvas account.

Select the Desired Course

- Browse the list of available courses linked to your Canvas account.
- Click on the course you wish to import materials from.

Initiate the File Transfer

- Click "Import" to begin transferring course materials to Kadal.
- The import process may take a few minutes, depending on the file size and number of documents.

Receive Confirmation

- Once the import is complete, an email confirmation will be sent to notify you.
- The imported files will now be accessible in the Knowledge Base/Dataset for further use.
