How to Associate Metadata with Resources in Kadal Content Manager
Metadata can be associated with resources in Kadal to enhance searchability, filtering, and categorization. This includes associating Properties (like tags, dates, or categories) and Statements (predefined declarations that add context).
Steps:
- Log in to Kadal Content Manager.
- Open the Metadata Panel
- Browse and locate the desired resource file.
- Hover over the file you want to enrich with metadata.
- Click on the vertical ellipsis (⋮) or open the more menu.
- Select Metadata from the options.
- Find and Align Metadata
- A panel will appear allowing you to search and add metadata:
- Properties: Select and enter values for properties.
- Statements: Select from available Statements (organized by Statement Type)
- A panel will appear allowing you to search and add metadata:
Note: While aligning existing statement types, users can also add and edit the statements in them.
- (Optional) Add New Metadata
- You can also create a new Property or a new Statement by clicking on the vertical ellipsis (⋮) next to the metadata search bar to open the more menu
- Click Create Metadata
- Auto-Save and View
- All changes are auto-saved as you go.
- Once created, the associated metadata appears in the Metadata panel for the resource file.
