How to Delete a Statement in Kadal Content Manager
Statements in Kadal can be deleted if they are no longer relevant or needed. Deletion is permission-controlled and irreversible, so it’s important to ensure the statement is not in active use.
Steps:
- Log in to Kadal Content Manager.
Note: The Metadata Governance section is only visible to users with valid permission assigned to their user role.
- Navigate to Metadata Governance:
- In the left navigation panel, click on Metadata Governance.
- Open Metadata Library:
- Inside Metadata Governance, click on the Metadata Library option.
- Switch to the Statement Tab
- On the Metadata Library screen, you'll see two tabs at the top: Property and Statement.
- Click on the Statement tab.
- The left pane lists all existing Statement Types, and the right pane shows the Statements under each type.
- Select a Statement Type
- Click on the relevant Statement Type to view its associated statements.
- Find the Statement to Delete
- Hover over the desired statement on the right side.
- Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) next to the statement.
- Choose Delete from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm Deletion
- A confirmation prompt will appear to prevent accidental deletion.
- Click Yes, Delete to permanently remove the statement..
Note: If the statement is actively associated with any documents, assets, or objects, you'll receive a warning, but deletion will still be allowed.
